Care Guide Gucci

1. Know your material
Gucci’s GG Canvas is made of a durable cotton or linen blend coated with a thin protective resin layer, paired with leather trims and metal hardware.
This makes it tougher than untreated leather but still vulnerable to stains, color transfer and humidity.
2. Daily care & storage habits
- Avoid direct sunlight and humidity, prolonged exposure can fade the monogram and dry out the trims.
 - Don’t overload the bag, too much weight can pull the canvas and distort the structure.
 - Rotate your bags, giving your vintage Gucci some rest helps preserve the shape and prevents cracking of trims.
 - Stuff when not in use, use acid-free paper or soft fabric to keep the silhouette intact.

3. Cleaning & maintenance
Because Gucci’s canvas is coated, less is more when it comes to cleaning.
Exterior:
- Wipe gently with a slightly damp microfiber cloth.
 - For stubborn marks, you can use Saphir Omninettoyant Cleaner (lightly diluted) it’s gentle yet effective for coated textiles and leather.
 - Apply with a soft brush or cloth, avoid scrubbing, and let air dry naturally.

Leather trims:
- Condition with Saphir Médaille d’Or Renovateur a cult classic that restores suppleness without leaving residue.
 - Use sparingly to avoid darkening light leathers.

Hardware:
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
 - For tarnished metal, gently buff using a dedicated jewelry polishing cloth avoid harsh metal cleaners.

4. Long-term preservation
-
Store your GG Canvas bag in its dust bag, upright, and away from heat.
 - If you notice dullness, apply a tiny bit of Saphir Nappa Leather Cream on trims for rejuvenation, ideal for soft Gucci calf leather.
